TAO guesthouse is situated in KASI district, about 50 km north of Vang Vieng and about 15 km south of Kasi town. It means about halfway between Vientiane and Luang Prabang. The name of the village is Sisangvone or Ban Sisangvone ( Ban = village )

May sound difficult to get there, but is quite easy, and reaching us will make your travel become a real one!!!

GENERAL INFORMATION

From the Route 13, the main road wich links Vientiane to Luang Prabang you must turn at the intersection ( crossroad ) to Ban Chìèng ( See below more information ). Note that on the maps could be written different as Ban Tiang ( or only Tiang ), Ban jiang, Ban Thien etc…
Thang Beang means intersection or crossroad and Ban Chieng is the next village.
The road you will meet at the intersection is the road to MUANG MET. ( point it out if you show the map to somebody ).
The distance from the intersection with the main road to TAO guesthouse is about 6 km. If you need help before or during your journey to TAO guesthouse, Please call us ( We can speak with the driver, for example ) .If you go down at the intersection we could even manage to pick you up.

COMING WITH PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION

FROM SOUTH ( VIENTIANE )

Follow the road to Luang Prabrang, About 50 km after Vang Vieng you will get to the intersection to Ban Chieng ( on google maps the village at the intersection is indicated as XANG ). About 30 meters before the intersection, on the right side of the road there is a gasoline station ( XBP ). TURN LEFT ane take the ROAD TO MUANG MET and continue for about 6 km, TAO guesthouse is situated on the right side about 2 km AFTER THE SECOND BRIDGE.

FROM NORTH ( LUANG PRABANG, PHONSAVAN, XAYABURI … )

Follow or get to the ” Route 13 ” which lead to Vientiane, pass through Kasi town and about 10 km after it you will find the intersection to Ban Chieng ( on google maps the village at the intersection is indicated as XANG ). TURN RIGHT and take the ROAD TO MUANG MET( about 200 meters after “PhouKham guesthouse which is on the left side of the road ). Follow the road for about 6 km, TAO guesthouse is situated on the right side about 2 km AFTER THE SECOND BRIDGE.

LEAVING FROM TAO GUESTHOUSE

From the guesthouse you can catch minivans or pick-up to Vang Vieng and Vientiane. From the intersection you can catch several buses and minivans to all the main destinations.
